Angela Akins Garcia was basically in some form of obscurity until the marriage of the sports star thrust her into the limelight, therefore, there is a lack of information on her personal life prior to the time she got married Sergio Garcia, a professional golfer. The media know that Angela Akins Garcia was born in 1985, but she was not born in the year or the day. Angela Akins Gracia had a passion for sports from the time she was a young girl and decided to study golf. She then took a few lessons on how to play golf, developing the necessary skills to create an effective and calm swing. Over the years she increased her experiences. While in highschool, she won 8 tournaments. As the captain of Mable Falls high school's golf team Garcia led her team to the 3rd spot in the regional 2003 tournament, and then they finished with a sixth-place finish in the 2006 competition. Garcia has been awarded over 17 medals at national competitions, and is a member to the Women's Texas Golf Association. After graduating from high school, Garcia went on into Texas Christain University studied there for a few years before moving into the University of Texas. Once she enrolled at Texas Christain University she was exposed to a spirited environment that helped her develop the skills of a golfer. Despite the fact that she found happiness and fulfilment as a golfer Angela Akin Garcia never dreamt of pursuing golf professionally instead she chose journalism. When she finished her degree in journalism, she was hired in Fox Sports Southwest as a journalist.
